The Gingko rattan armchair with its horizontal ‘horizon’ pattern combines record lightness with studied comfort and surprising strength. The use of a special variety of highly resistant rattan and the clever arrangement of arches, volutes and ligatures all contribute to the solidity of the whole and the minimalist lines of this rattan armchair. Lauriane Beaunier and Aurélien Veyrat were inspired by the Japanese design of the 70s, where nothing is superfluous.

While its cousin, the Gingko Bulles rattan armchair, uses circles and arcs, as its name suggests, the Gingko Horizon armchair is more about straight lines. The horizontal pattern of parallel rods takes a resolutely contemporary approach, while emphasising the curvature of the backrest.
The Horizon rattan armchair will be particularly at home in very modern interiors, contrasting with smooth, technical materials such as glass, steel and lacquer. Low-backed and compact, the Horizon rattan armchair is designed to be placed around a table, which it will enhance with its lightness and the blondness of its material. The result is an armchair with distinction and refinement, but with a strong character. Even on its own in the middle of a large room, as an occasional chair for example, the Gingko Horizon rattan armchair will transform the whole atmosphere.
Structure in debarked rattan cane, binding and seat weave in rattan splint, finished in natural water-based varnish. Each foot is fitted with a nylon glide.
